Pinay Celebrities Crisis

My Adsense hits a wall today. My Pinay Celebrities website has lost it's hold in it's main keywords and the traffic to the site has dwindled to the lowest level in two years. I am still in a limbo on what happened why all of a sudden the site has moved down the SERP of Google.

My Pinay celebrities website has been standing there, holding to the top position in the SERP for a couple of years now. It has been generating a lot of organic traffic within that period and it translated into a good amount of online residual income for three years.

This crisis in my Pinay celebrities website has been a shock to me. What I am going to do now is to observe first. Maybe there is just a tweak in the algorithm and it might come back later. I just hope that this is temporary and it will return to the top again soon.

Myles Hernandez, Gwen Garci and Adsense

Who says you cannot make money with pinay celebrities? There are actually a lot of internet marketers who are preaching that you cannot make money with celebrities through Adsense and the entertainment niche in general. With this premise, I decided to create two pinay celebrities fan sites and publish Adsense ads there.

The fan sites I created are for Myles Hernandez and Gwen Garci. The two are both members of the all female singing group Viva Hot Babes. I select the two since Myles and Gwen are the two most beautiful and most popular among the group.

There are 1000 searches for both Myles Hernandez and Gwen Garci in Google every month. That's just a small traffic that could not really convert into good internet money. But I still select them since if I can make money out of this small traffic, then how much more for celebrities that has a lot of traffic every month?

I had this friend who is Filipino and is quite good in computers particularly in web development. As we were going to school, he was making money by himself through making websites and charging fee for such.

Then he came to know Adsense and he made some experiments with it. One of the first websites he made was this Filipina actresses website that he monetized with Adsense. At first, he was so frustrated that nobody visits his site. He had a quite web design and a nice placement of the ads but it seems that those searching for Filipina Actresses websites were not reaching his website.

Then he came to know SEO. Again, he learned SEO by himself and applied it to his website. Then slowly, this Pinay celebrities website climbed the SERPs and steadily daily visitors from all over the world stared to flock in his site. With that development, his Adsense earnings also started to soar.
